Hi - I received a couple confederate rose cuttings - planted them in the yard and one of them has a white powdery substance that easily scrapes off on the main stems and underneath some of the leaves. I live in Central Florida - Zone 9. Any idea what this is? Wasn't sure where to post this question - new to the site and love to garden but have just experienced dumb luck so far! Thank you for any help!!!!

Can you post some pics? My first guess would be powdery mildew, but it would really help to see a picture.
