Ive two gorgeous silver mounds at my mail box

It appears so dog has applied their irrigation services.

Ive tried to remove the white wilted leaves, along with their dried stems.

is this the right way to address the wilted leaves or would they just grow back anyway.

or did my pruning - make things worse??
