    Do you know why?

The founder got his back - offered a $250K reward to find it - only went through 2 owners.

He sold it to get the business financed.

I like to watch "fast" but getting old enough to know better! LOL

The other day while talking to a guy my age we were discussing his having been arrested. He said once in the late '60s. I asked for what and he said speeding. I said they don't just arrest you for speeding. He said at 160 mph they do. Turns out he had a new GTO and just had to see what it would do...

That is what I considered young & foolish. Think I'm past that these days. 8 )

I hope never to be to old to hit the gas and do hole shots and burn outs
My dh does a great speed shifting 2nd!!! he has the 4speed 68ss and that baby screamz
The new Z is very fast and is a automatic and it still goes sideways when u put her to the floor
and she squawks 2nd gear every time!!

Ah --awesome '69 Camaro-- is that "script" in its original area? I thought it was placed closer to the front fender.

Mom Sylvia and I had a '68 -- it was hers but to keep it out of her 2nd hubby's hands (he used to drive it to the ground) she sold it to me.

What a car -- 327/350 engine, Corvette clutch, Hurst shifter, konis, dual exhausts. Mom "bought" it back from me and sold it. I'm still looking for it. Or a resonable facsimile that I can rebuild to original and better specs.

Now I have a 73 Chevy Vega panel express -- customized it and maintained it until time took over and now am restoring her.
