I have grown garlic from my own cloves for several years with great success. I love to use the fresh cloves - very tasty, never to "bitey." This year, though, most of the heads were very small, maybe only 4 cloves. What might affect garlic?
It's been record breaking cold and wet here in Maine this summer.
Does it matter whether you plant from seeds or cloves? I began planting from seeds last year, but can't tell which plants were planted which way.
