We love preparing fresh corn on the cob in our microwave.
So easy, delicious! Also . . . the silks just fall off.
How to Process:
Cut both ends off the corn back to the good kernels.
LEAVE THE SHUCK ON.
Put in microwave and cook for 3-4 minutes per ear of corn.
Remove from microwave carefully - I use oven mits. Let it
set a couple minutes to cool.
Holding the corn with oven mit or a paper towel, pull the shuck off.
Most of the silk will just fall off. Any remaining silks come off easily if you brush it with a paper
towel.
Butter, salt/pepper to taste. Enjoy
Sometimes I prefer to cut the kernels off & eat w/fork (less flossing that way).
Be sure to scrape the cob to get the inside and the 'milk' (best part of the corn).
I put my corn, unshucked, on a wet paper towel with s&p, butter, and Tony's Chachere's on for 3 minutes and you will have some good Cajun microwaved corn.
DumbBlonde - it sounds as if the butter, S&P, and Cajun spice goes on OUTSIDE??? ON husk surface???? I am just having a hard time imagining this. Please clarify what part I don't get??? Thanks
