From time to time, these are organized here. There are many such items inside also from clothes to footwear, furniture and many others. Let me show a few here. I passed through this exhibition last week.

These are kept outside the stalls.

You should see those colours in the garment and jewelry sections! I'm a bit too shy to pull out the camera and shoot in public! Sometimes I get the boldness! Will try to share more.

I just am fascinated by India. I saw the movie Darjeeling Express and felt my life completely lacks color. Thanks for sharing the pix!

Thanks. In the travel forum, I've posted a thread with link to album containing some pictures of Darjeeling. We had been there last year. You may like to see it!

Oh, I would be in heaven at a sale like this! Of all the other cultures, I find the clothing and jewelry worn by the women of India to be the most beautiful. I of course have no reason to wear the traditional dress, but the gauzy tunic type shirts look great with jeans, and I buy the beaded and sequined leather flats when I see them. A few years back they became mainstream style here in the US and I got a great pair made entirely of leather with beautiful embroidery in gold and red with beads too. I wore them out in 2 months, but they were worth every penny...And what I wouldn't give to get some of those bangles!!

Hi. Im new here. here is one of the many things that are typical artesian articles in Mexico. I weave these on order on an old barn loom, or foot loom. Lots of hard work!

Cbug, welcome to DG. The colors and weaving is gorgeous. You should join Daves Garden--there is so many informative threads and interesting people on here. I love it and I bet you'd like it, too. Laverne
