I like weeding too, but with a hectare of garden including vegetables and tree areas, I find I just give up in despair after the first couple of months of hard graft. By the time I get to one end of the flower garden, the weeds are back almost as strong at the other end.
Next year I intend to cover everything with a really deep mulch and hope that will suppress some of the worst offenders. Otherwise, it means glyphosating everything in sight and starting afresh.
