I was so excited I could hardly go to sleep last night after a phone call saying that I really need physical therapy and two cortisone shots in my knee!!!
Just for a second opinion I sent a disc of my MRIs to my cousin at the medical center in Houston to see what he thought about my knee. Being a great Orthopedic surgeon, he said not yet!!! I will switch doctors to him but don't even have to go to Houston any time soon. He will be here in 3 weeks to see the family. And, the best part is that Taft doesn't have much in town but we do boasts of one of the best physical therapist anywhere around. So...I am leaping with joy about starting physcial therapy after I get my cortisone shots in my knee.
The only reason I posted this is because I have told everyone i was having surgery. It never occurred to me that a second opinion would be different from the first surgeon.
