You know what I mean, our fireplace is not the optimal shape, it is too wide or too deep or whatever and if only we bought these handy dandy INSERTS, the fp would stop sucking out the warm air and blowing it out the chimney, but would actually help heat the house! Anyone have any experience?

have used plain ole aluminum foil - shiny side out behind radiators to increase heat to a living space. mylar wallpaper for the same purpose. even mirrors can help.
- anything that reflects will DO the job.

of course for a fireplace yours need to Not Burn.

hope this helps some.
