Yes you read correctly.
This is a real wood burning stove that nicely heats a 1,100 square foot house! No Joke!

I posted this in other forums of Daves Garden but thought the Homesteaders may enjoy this also.
I would LOVE to live off the grid. But as a senior inner city dweller; sharing ideas is the next best thing! Dreaming of homesteading and penny pinching warms my heat - ALWAYS!

With winter coming some of you handy folks may give this a try

the above link should also have additional info as to how to contact builder/designer. if not contact Mother Earth directly
- its amazing . They are helpful!

but here is another attempt at a link:

as mentioned - contacting Mother Earth News directly is always nice. They ARE helpful!

I wish they had shown a pic of the finished stove. I couldn't make heads nor tails out of the diagrams. But thanks for sharing.

I'll be sure to do that as I am not handy with such things. My DH reads blue prints very well as he was a pipe fitter so he shouldn't have a problem. Thanks again for the link, you guys. Looks like a great project.

Glee, my pleasure. I almost didn't open your thread, as I had seen a $35 woodstove on Mother Earth News before, but it was made out of a metal drum. This one is so much nicer. Really appreciate you sharing the link!
