A church friend brought a huge peony bloom like this to Mass one day - for me! I was so appreciative. It was beautiful. An old peony from her parents' yard that she cherished. Sharing the beauty of something always enhances the pleasure, doesn't it?

I have roses that I slipped from my parents' yard but didn't get a chance to get any of their peonies. Those roses are special to me. I'm sure Cathy's family will keep the tradition with the peonies.
