Sweeeeeet Mekos! You gotta tell me where you get those little baggies btw.

I am going to post this in several other forums so hopefully we will have some fun with it. As much as we want to win, remember that the winning bidder's items go to our Newbie collection to pass out to new members of Dave's Garden. So let your friends, family, other DG members, neighbors or anyone else you think would benefit from what there is to offer at DG know about our weekly auctions. Good luck and Happy Bidding & Gardening..

Thank you to our wonderful coordinators Cue_chik and Mekos.. Don't know what us newbies would do without you!

Ptilda and skellogg, you don't know what Mechelle will pick, I wouldn't back out or jump out too soon. Everyone thought their bid was too small on one of my auctions too but that was the one seed they had that I really wanted. i picked it and she was amazed. There was some good bids and anyother time probably would have chose them, but a friend was wanting those seeds real bad, so I got them just for her. Bid what you have and can, you never know.

Sure. But you keep what you want and send the rest to Arejay, not me. However I'll be glad to take it off your hands if you want to send it to me. NO PROBLEM. When others do the auction, the bid that winns is sent to the person doing the auction, they keep what they wanted out of it and send some to Arejay for newbies. I personally send only seeds on to the newbie packs because live plants might not make it several days to get here, then on to arejay, then on to a newbie. Seeds will. So, Mechelle, this is your auction, you decide what you keep and what goes to newbie packs.( just want some to go to help others) I keep an envelope here and as it fills, I mail it off, then start another. This way, I keep seeds for my own use and some I don't need I put in the envelope and some I give freely to others. This way seeds get spread. The live plants I plant and when they make seeds, there will be more to send on to newbies, and I get to enjoy them as well.
BUT you don't have to send them ALL to the newbie cause. They are yours.

Yeah I love my Michael... although I wanted to murder him today because he dumped the yucky horsee doodoo straw all over my dayliles that I just planted this morninggggggg... ok, breathe, breathe... It's all better, I fixed it >:-) Good thing my DH noticed it and told me.. they'd been dead by tomorrow.. lol.. I don't want my kids to grow up.. I really don't! Funny when they were little we used to say 'boy I'll be glad when they're older"- I so take that back.. I miss when they were little. I know we probably shouldn't be talking about this here, but yesterday all 3 of my kids (18,16, 14) climbed into my Mustang and went driving off to go to the mall. That was the first time they have ever gone somewhere together without us. I started to kinda cry and they all got out of the car and hugged me.. it was sad but good at the same time.. can't keep them in a bubble forever. Nite all ;-)

Oh my gosh ! I wasn't expecting to win anything. I plan to share my newly acquired plant wealth with a family that had moved into their new home just as the housing market hit the skids here in Calif. Then his work slowed down to nothing, I know this because he works for my husband who has been terribly slow this year. I know how discouraging it can be to move into a new home and then have to look at dirt out your back window every time you look out, so I have been dividing all my perennials to share with them, the daylily's and some of the iris's from this win will go to them too.

Thank you Mechelle for making this possible.
