I planted 9300 sweet onions from Dixondale this year. I have pulled up 12 bushels so far . I have most of 10 rows to go. The onions are huge. I have been selling them 2 for $1 but I need to get some 3 pound and 5 pound bags for them . I would prefer mesh bags because sweet onions keep much better with good air circulation but either they are too pricey( $1.79 each at Dixondale) or sold in too large a quantity. Vented plastic bags are only 7 cents a piece plus a penny for the twist tie but they too come in bundles of 1,000. I only neeed a couple of hundred. Tube mesh in a roll would work if I could find it and if the width is 12 inches or less. Does anyone know where I can buy it?
