I've posted this elsewhere, but haven't gotten a response, so hoping cross-posting might help.
I hope someone has some advice for me. Last winter, my son gave me dozens of NYS wildflower seeds that he had collected. I've was successful in germinating quite a few of them and am ready to plant a garden dedicated to wildflowers.
My question - some of the plants are tall and sturdy and I have no worries about transplanting them.
However, some are still fairly small - only a few inches tall, but with good root systems.
Do you think I can transplant the small ones as well? I'm not sure how else I will winter them over.
Any help you can give me is appreciated.
Oh, and a couple, e.g., showy tick-trefoil, have already lost leaves, but again, roots are strong.
Thanks.
