I believe it to stand for darling husband. It took me a long time to figure those Ds. An endearing term we use ;)

I was going to say dear husband...but that sounds like the opening of the letter that tells him I left with the landscape architect.

DH is dear/darling husband. I look at it this way if he puts up with the money I spend and the holes I make him dig he is a "dear" in my book.

Those are definately not the letters that I would use for my ex. But I can sure think of some others.

I'll admit it. When I first joined I thought it meant Dirty Hands :)

After so many witty responses, I'm embarrased to offer "Dead head", to cut the flower head?

Dead head is pretty good. Even better when the dead head is removed from hi...er...its body...

LOL. It does stand for dear/darling husband - as goes for dw - dear wife, dd - dear daughter, ds dear son, dsil dear sister in law... etc..
But then again depending on my mood, the "d" can stand for other words :-)
