We're expanding the garden shown in the photo to the area shown with white X marks. I have several potted hydrangeas (no idea of what they are since the nursery owner didn't have tags so he gave them to me for $2.00 each and I couldn't refuse) that I could use there but they just might burn up with the full sun. Two of them appear to be mopheads. Aside from the paniculata family are there any hydrangeas that could tolerate the site?
I do have an extra Limelight but was curious if there are any others that would appreciate the spot.
It will end up about 25' long and 12' wide at the start, tapering off to about 3' wide.
Even if we planted a tree there it would take too long to be of any shade value for hydrangeas.
Thank you for any help you can give us.
