Hi Gwen,
Thought you might be interested in Mary Gardens. A very thorough and interesting article to get you started can be found at http://www.fisheaters.com/marygardens.html
For just about everything known at this time about Mary Gardens, you can visit http://www.mgardens.org/
I have a small Mary garden at the back of my yard, past the area the soccer ball can reach. It is fiercely guarded from that treacherous ball by two sentinels: a redbud and a cherry! Although I do not grow only Mary flowers in it, most of my flowers are blue, with a touch of pink, and a whisper of white, all of them Our Lady's colors.
I hope you enjoy these sites and will be inspired to write about Mary Gardens in the future.

Lilianrose, your Mary garden sounds like a little piece of heaven in a busy back yard. Thanks for sending those links. I am interested in medieval gardens in general and am starting to do some research. Those sites look like a great place to start.
