How funny! I went to a 'salvia spectacular' yesterday to see what salvias they might have that I don't...got some,one of which is Rio Bamba. In googling it, Gardenweb comes up with a post from 3 years ago from a person looking for info also and she got it from the same place that I did...the Fullerton Arboretum here in Ca. She mentions asking the woman there about it and the woman telling her that she herself had had the plant for at least 10 years...In any case, like the plant quite a lot, sturdy, upright seems to be a vigorous grower...don't know if it's really something else and has acquired this name from the arboretum or someone else...
