Very pretty scutler, love the color. Looks like it would make a pretty plant for the front of the border.

Thank you, angele,

I think it would look nice on the front of the border. For a few years I had it planted in and around my rose and iris beds. When dead-headed regularly to keep it short, it made a nice sort of living mulch (kept the weeds at bay) and the purple contrasted nicely with blue iris, especially the light to med blues, and with light to med pink roses. I must have taken this picture during a time when I had let it get out of hand a bit as it seems a bit high in the picture.

It spread nicely throughout the flower beds from year to year, but eventually died after a number of years.

Just wanted to say that I really like the idea of this Forum. I wasn't aware it existed. Consequently, I had always figured if one of my photos ever made Bloom of the Day I would likely miss it and never know. Having this Forum as a means to notify the photographer is an excellent idea, but then I should have known Dave/DG would have thought of such a perfect solution.
