Thanks to all who helped me this first year of monarch rescue. I was able to watch 62 of the beautiful butterflies fly away, healthy and strong. 30 females and 32 males. I lost 1 second instar cat and 5 chrysalis. One of the chrysalis was a "wild" find and it had some type of infestation and 2 of the last 4 dropped and broke and 2 turned black and never hatched. The first eclosing was 8/19 and the last was 9/20.

I couldn't have done it without this forum!

PS. For those of you familiar with geocaching, I also marked the flight of my last monarchs by releasing a travel bug by the name of Flicker. Her web page has some good info on monarchs. I have 3 others to release and I hope they will help educate others about the monarch.
