Hi all,
I purchased a cutting of Hoya buotii from Antone (dischidia.com) last fall. I received the cutting on October 16, 2008.
This is the plant, less than a year later (photo taken today, 9-20-09). I have never had a plant grow so fast in all my life.
I had to take the vines and wrap them around the hoop again because they were starting to climb the cord on the blinds.
I did find a peduncle on one of the vines, so I am hoping that my unwinding and rewinding the vine does not abort the peduncle (the peduncle is now kind of upside down a bit.) There has been a peduncle right at the base of the plant for a long time, but it has never produced any buds.
I would guess that others have had plants grow this fast, but for me, growing in my house, this is amazing to me. This plant has been inside since I received the cutting. The plant grows right next to the West window in my living room.
Has anyone else, that is growing in their home, had a plant grow so fast it amazed you?
Thanks,
Mike in Mpls
