A little tree, still only about 3 feet did not look well all summer, but I checked it, as Weenel suggested and it is still alive. Might taking it up and potting it and pampering it all winter in a sheltered position help it thrive? I have grown to really like this odd little tree. But I don't think another Nova Scotian winter is what it need right now. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and happy gardening.

Me again. My odd little tree is a Corkscrew Hazel, or "Walking Stick". I have checked it by scraping a bit of bark as Weenel suggested...but still need help.
