Thank you, Kathleen, for a memory jogger of old times. I live in Florida, and have for the past 35 years, but grew up in Charleston, West Virginia. Your article brought back memories from growing up there. I could smell the autumn air from those times. We do have autumn here, but it is much more subtle, as is winter, just not the same as up north.
