It has been a long time since I have been here..I never forgot you though.
A few months ago I was able to eat as much fiber I wanted with no effects. In the last couple of months suddenly got where I can't. I now have many BMs a day mostly mushy & hard to wipe clean. A lot are little chucks (some very loose) & some are thin. Along with this I have LOTS of gas when I eat fiber even after taking beano. The Dr put on on Questran which helps a little but not much. I tried also taking Metamusil but that gives me more gas. I don't understand why just a few months ago I could eat all the fiber I wanted. The gas is so embarrassing but thank goodness most are not smelly unless I eat oranges :( I probably get enough fiber still but pay for it.
I don't expect any of U to have an answer but maybe a few hints for me.
