Does anyone know of a program that allows you to capture a still photo of your screen when running a video? (Example: Let say you are watching a DVD Movie and you wanted to capture a picture) is there a software program that will allow you to capture while the movie is running?
Thanks

I've done it with Windows Media Player. Wanted a shot of lightening once but couldn't time it right, so I video'd the storm and then captured a still of a lightening bolt. Worked great!

Can anyone answer this for me. Using Windows Media Player I can capture a screen photo with CTRL + Print Scrn, go into Paint program, the photo looks good, save it as a JPG or BMP and when I look at it, its black. I can capture other things like my desktop or a graphic photo but not from a video DVD. I have downloaded a few programs on the internet and I get only a black screen. Any suggestion?.

Mnorberry
why do you need to use the Cntrl key with your print screen key ?
i only use the print screen key which copies the entire screen to the clip board
also
alt + print scrn will copy the current open working window to the clip board
not your whole screen

then ctrl V to paste in a paint program

YES there are programs out there to do the same thing

I was told that if you use only the print scrn it printed the photo, not copied it. BUT, I just purchased a prgoram (under $50.00) powerdvd9 that makes beautiful screen shots. Could get any free ones to do what I wanted. Thanks everyone for your help.
