I have a difficult design problem. This bed is at the entrance to a large company. It is a 35' circle. The soil is good ( neutral pH, loamy clay ). The lighting is difficult. The company wants color with "annuals". It's under high, light shade with morning sun until about 12:00. House plants, tropicals and traditional annuals are all acceptable. No height limitation. This year's bed has Lime Zinger Colocasia and two perennials which did not receive enough sun to flower. The Colocasia did fine. It's a Master Gardener project and I must admit we are scratching our heads. The only plant we're sure of so far is Salvia.
