Great idea Judy! Glad to see some of my offerings are doing well.

We are flat out with the wind here blowing amuck! So sorry, no pix to post, but will ASAP.

Judy your plants apart from the Coral Creeper, Antignon are raging along. I think Antignon is dormant...
Steve / Budgie, one emerging leaf on your Dahlia.. "Tequila Sunrise" :)

Chrissy, all fine except seedlings of GA x Butterbomb. I stuffed up as other folks seeds have come up. Sorry.
Maya, just A.R. brug doing fine. The rest bit the dust.

It has been a manic week! The gales, dust, MIL here for a week. OMG!

Judy, how is that unidentified Salvia I sent up going? I planted two out today and was thinking of your one. I placed it in a Xysloma hedge...

Oh, and B. 'Coral Reef'? I will be striking cuttings of this to send out. It is a very slow grower, compact it seems. Who knows at this stage? I hope it will be a patio plant, standard form and small. However the Brugmansia gods playing in its genetic makeup may have different thoughts to mine.

Chrissy, your Brug FFA is outrageous! :)))) Those leaves are amazing. Love it just for the foliage. Looking so forward to blooms. Zebra Finch Hilton here will love its shade come summer.

I just don't want to go outside at present for fear of what has blown down! :(

Your Broms are looking good Sue...when did you say you were opening your Nursery?lol

Wayne,Your noid Salvia and Luecantha are growing in leaps and bounds...will post pics soon. The Antigonon can be slow to take off but if you put them out in full fun you'll find they'll soon be in leaf.
Lost the little yellow 'purses' checked on it one day and it had completely frazzled in the heat even though I had it in filtered morning sun only and kept it moist...we had 2 very hot days and I guess it was just too much.

Quote "It has been a manic week! The gales, dust, MIL here for a week. OMG!" Unquote. Ha ha ha...I wonder if you mum in law saw it the same way> "It has been a manic week! The gales, dust, Wayne...OMG...just kidding lol!!

Have a good week..

Geez Mya,Can't believe its grown so fast..looks so lush! One word of advice though, unravel it from the lattice or in a few months you'll be cursing it as those thin little harmless stems(now) expand into big thick strangling trunks...take it from me I know from experience...completely wrecked my lattice.Just tie the stems to the outside of the lattice and you won't have a problem.

Hi Judy. Glad to hear that most plants have done OK. That little Calceolaria mexicana is an annual, so don't worry. Mine are all on the way out too. It sets very fine seed in abundance. One trick I use to keep a supply of seedlings is to place a small potted specimen on the top of a larger pot (say 300mm). That little "passenger" sets seed directly in the growing media of the pot below. Standard (lollypop) Brugs in big pots are a good way to manage this.

That little plant of yours might have shed seed before it went off. You could have some babies pop up.

Oh wayne poor musketeer is looking winter pale ...it will get a much stronger colour when the warmth returns ...i am so sorry I can't show off anything as I can't get the pictures into this thing ...it's all different and it has some foreign security that is killing me @#$%^&* it won't allow me to do much ...it's driving me nuts yelling at me every few seconds "warning" ..."warning" ... sounds like something from Lost In Space, I am scared it will kill something or other, the tech guy gave me an alien back ...it might take a while.
Your babies are doing well despite the Siberian weather we are suffering (we have had hail three times in the last fortnight as well as screaming Wind from the mountains) anyway love all the pics everyone!,now I really have to go to bed it's after 2am and I have not made a great deal of head way with this silly thing ...i can't complain the fellow may take it away for another fortnight and i couldn't stand that! so i bid you goodnight and sweet spring dreams ...even though you are all slumbering already. Lots to say tomorrow :-)

Unfortunately, I can't remember where my cuttings of Golden Butter and Dr Seuss X came from. One I think was from a garden swap and the other from one of the local plant sales. I think. They came to me unnamed and were identified by Alistair from posted pics. So I'm thinking that perhaps they should all have an X after the name.

It'll be interesting to see how they grow for you. Dr Seuss X has never been as vigorous a grower as GB, or as floriferous. But its leaves are so pretty, as of course are the flowers. I didn't even realise it had a fragrance until this last winter--when I smelled that classic aurea perfume (but never as strong as GB). I reckon it would be a good brug for a smaller garden ...

Good one Judy!

It is exciting to wait and watch for the flowers to appear. Chrissy put me on to the idea of sending "Y" flowering wood as well as cane cuttings of Brugmansia. It is fun for the person receiving the cuttings to see an early bloom. Brugs are quite outrageous that way in their growing / flowering behaviour. Years back, a friend gave me the most tiny cutting of his "orange". It must have measured 5". Anyway, the tiny thing bloomed in it's 6" pot! I had to stand the pot on bricks so that the bloom could sway in the breeze like a hula dancer! :))

Thanks too Judy for the Ruellia pic. Lovely! Presently in pots waiting for space in the garden come autumn... There I go planning.

The Salvias look fine too. Judy, you can never have too many Salvia! Such a giving plant and so diverse in it's various species come cvs.

Chrissy, we have success with your seeds from B. 'Butter Bomb' x 'Glasshouse Angel'. Two of the 10 you sent are into first leaf, well protected from the current winds.

This pix is of Begonia babies given as cuttings here and there (not this forum). I want to create a special Begonia "nook"... :))) Waiting for the south side passage way to be rebuilt. Meanwhile the poor plants put up with heat (sunshine) from the western aspect. :(
Yes, I will shade or move them come summer.
Don't relish the thought of Begonia "Fries"! :)
