I lived for 20 years in Bardstown before I moved! Nolin River Tree farm is not far from you!! They have listed on their web site the different kinds of paws paws and their different characteristics
Sally- the best thing about a paw paw tree, is not so much it's fruit (banana very ripe) but the tree. It has big pretty leaves.

I gotta say, when I went recently to really look for the pawpaws, knowing they are tropical, I could really see the difference in their habit from the usual forest trees here. It was an AHH moment. Thanks for commenting.
