I am so upset. About a month or two ago I bought a Mr. Lincoln rose at Lowe's. Hidden among all the red and pink Knockouts, it was nice size, healthy and was only $6.98. This is one of my mother's favorites and most people on the forum have raved about it ... so, I wanted one too. I brought it home and put it on the deck with all the other "to be planted somewhere, sometime ..." plants and it just grew and grew. Soon it had a little bud ... just one ... and I watched eagerly since I knew it would probably be the only one I'd get this year. Remember, this is the first year I've tried anything except Knockouts and I am a rank beginner at gardening.
It started to open last weekend ... then the rains came and beat the daylights out of it. I am inconsolable. :-(
