Annette, I've never done that but here's how I think you could do it. Use packing tape to completely cover the mirror and use a flat tool - like the thing you use to spread drywall mud - to wedge between the mirror and the wall. Use a rubber mallet to tap the flat edge of the tool behind the mirror. It's going to break into pieces but the tape will keep it from shattering all over the floor and you. If you were thinking to get it off in one piece, I don't know how you could do that.
