I have a japanese maple that blew over & the pot shattered, in high winds yesterday. Im looking for some advice about repotting.
The tree is a coral bark (that's what the label said, but the bark doesn't get very red). I've had it for about 4 years & it's about 10 feet tall. We're in our Indian summer climate, now, so it could be in the 60's one day & in the 90's later in the week. To make matters worse, we're leaving on vacation on Sunday & won't be able to repot until Saturday. Any words on advice to help my poor tree? I'm assuming I should root prune, when I report.
Many thanks.
Liz
