Hi,

I've lurked for some time, but decided to bite the bullet and by a subscription. Since I do a lot of ordering online I'm sure I'll find the where to buy, and where not to most helpful.

I've had a couple gardens with peonies and always love them, like roses without the thorns...ok better then roses (o: I was a landscaping maintenance, and a self taught landscaper, but an illness left me unable to work anymore, so online communities are very important to my sanity. Anyway we moved and the people that lived her before left the yards overgrown very weedy. We added another yard by taking out a big chunk of asphalt, so I am making it a peony garden with huge beautiful boulders. Since I am fairly new to the species I ordered some cheaper, but beautiful peonies from an Oregon (I live up near Seattle). I bought Bowl of Cream, Maestro, and Buckeye Belle. My want list is: Alice harding, Souvenir de Maxima Cornu, Canary Brilliants, Bartzella, and Lemon Chiffon, and many more, but those are my top wants. I'll probably buy 2 or 3 every fall.

About me, I live with my partner of almost 13 years and our 3 4 legged feline fur kids just a little south of Seattle. We are season ticket holders to the WNBA Seattle Storm, my second obssesion behind gardening. I hope to learn a lot from those that have been growing peonies for awhile.
