We had saltillo put down many years ago when we bought this house. Long story short, we thought we'd refinish the tiles and discovered we couldn't get the years of sealer off. I'd like nothing better than to take it all up and just have polished concrete floors. However, the concrete is old and has cracks in some places. (The house was built in the late 30's and obviously settled over the decades.) Does anyone know if you can float new cement over old?
