I have found picture books by Brian Cleary to be fun and teach kids a lot about the English language, he's got some math and science versions to. Check your library: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_0_8?url=search-alias=aps&f...

I also love Loreen Leedy's picture books to teach math concepts with some English. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias=aps&field...

If you find others, please post. These are great because they aren't textbook format but full illustration picture books with a story to keep kids engaged in the learning process.
