I planted Cannas a few years ago in a raised bed of peat moss and soil mix. They were beautiful, tall and full of flowers. We built a house and the raised beds were removed.I now plant all the way around the house right in the ground but have been adding peat humus and manure for a few years. The same Cannas that were so beautiful are now gone! Each year they got smaller ( maybe a foot tall, few leaves and flowers). Eventually the "bulbs" weren't even worth saving.Any ideas on what may have gone wrong? I would really like to try Cannas again, but feel I am waisting my time and money. HELP!
