| It's been awhile since I could claim a new bird, but I finally got one. I looked in my books and I'm pretty sure this little bird is a Golden-winged Warbler.
Am I right?

| It stayed in the bird bath longer than the average bird (I got a lot of snaps of it) - I guess it could be refreshing itself from a long flight.. I wonder where it was a week ago?
I did notice that it flittered around a lot like a Carolina Chickadee.

| Yep, nice Golden-winged Warbler!
A week ago - at a guess, somewhere on its breeding grounds in the Appalachians?

| Thanks to you two, Resin and gardenpom.
Appalachians, huh, cool. I wonder how far south its gonna go before it stops it migration?
I may never see another, but I got this one. I was in the right place at the right time, Makes me wonder what other new visitors I've had and never knew it.
Hack.

| Looked up - they winter in Central America, from Guatemala to northern Colombia. So its next task is to cross the Caribbean.
