There was about 50 of these containers. My commercial landscape friend sent me an e-mail. Want any large containers off a golf course. If you want them, let me know how many and I will have staff deliver. Well to my surprise they were not large. I was delivered 3 of these monsters. Any ideas?

This is the drip or overun tray. They are 36' across and I have three. They need to be cleaned up. They are loaded with minerals. Any ideas.

I've heard that white vinegar and a wire brush or steel scrubber pad will remove the minerals, but I haven't actually tried it myself, so I can't make promises.

I'm envious of those huge pots though, those are awesome! :)

That spray paint for plastic will give you a good base coat for whatever you end up doing. (after all the lime deposits are removed) Lime Away and all those things like it are great for quickly removing all of that.

Great find! After you get them painted you could also use that stoneware looking paint on them.

I agree with JuneyBug that the Lime Away should work! Would love to see the finished results.

Well my Blueberry bushes just arrived and I need to get them planted, I will probably plant and then paint. The planter is close to 4 feet tall and the blueberry bushes are shallow roots. Maybe I should grow potatoes in the bottom. I will forward photos when all is done.

What do you think I should use the large trays for? I did purchase a larger amount of lime away today to get rid of the calcium buildup on the whatever,.

The trays would make great birdbaths, either hanging from something or setting on the ground or a stand.
Or a flower pot for succulents. You could make a really nice landscape in those big things... Hmmm, my DGD's would love one done as a fairy garden...

Smart & Final also have "lime be gone" in gallon jugs. Works great too!. Would also use on the trays. You can put a lot of styroform peanuts in bottom to save on soil. Those are great, and I agree with everyone was a deal. Dahtzu, I would love one for a brug too.

I got my Blueberries plants planted. They were wonderful plants. Wish us luck. I will keep you posted. We in the Las Vegas area need 59 days of cold, not freezing temperature between now and April. Blueberries need cold nights. Maybe I can go up to the mountain and bring down some snow. LOL. Would I do that? Of course I would...Betting on the blueberries in Las Vegas. I will keep yo posted but I am not accustomed to losing. Wish me luck. Have a great day tomorrow. Mother Winter. Baby Luke Michael Gottschalk will be here in about 3 weeks. My son's first child. My son is 45 and very excited. First wife. He is a Doctor and has been to busy being a Doctor. Right now he is on top of the world and so is his Mother. Luke Michael should be h=ere very soon. He has two sisters waiting from his mothers first marriage. Megan and Natalie are so excited they cannot not wait. Obviously, they have never had a little brother. Hide and watch. Should be fun to watch. Have a great day. Love to you all. Come on Luke Michael Gottschalk. Grandma Sharon wants to give you a big hug and then rock you in the new glider until you are happy. Love to all of you. You know me guys, I ramble. Sorry.

Hello i just seen your latest post about hardy hibiscus. For some reason there was no place for me to reply on your newest post. I wanted to help u with your question so i came to this thread instead. I have hardy hibiscus. This websight helped me alot when i got my hibiscus. It tells the difference between the 3 hibiscus, which is hardy, tropical and rose of sharon. Below is the first two blooms off my first hibiscus i have ever tried to grow this past Spring/summer. They are beautiful blooms. I escpicially like the 2 shades of pink in mine. They are called candy stripe.

Sharon,
Congrats on the baby grandson. There is nothing like a baby boy in the family. My only grandchild is 5 years old now, and he and I have a great time. You are gonna love this new life as a grandmother!!

The pots are great too, btw...
Grandsons are much more fun, though.

Remember our grandson are both named Ethan. I think. Or Jacob. This is a new grandson from my son but still our son because his father died very early and DH and I have been married 35 years. Luke Michael Gottschalk will be here sometime in late October or early November. Life is good and DH is still somewhat weak and has a dr appointment on Thursday. He is still in complete denial. Maybe that is best. He has lost another 10 pounds but seems to be doing fine. He will eat if I remind him. Two of our friends just lost their husbands and I do not want to join that group. Just put us in your prayers... Love to you all.

I had three delicious blueberries off one of my bushes today. Of course the bushes came with the berries already on the bush. Very healthy bushes...
And the bushes are putting on new leaves. I am hopeful for blueberries in the mid summer. Just need a cold winter. Anyone have any extra ice cubes???>?Maybe a snow machine???? Keep in touch. Mother Winter
