I bought 3 plants from Lowe's with water spots or spots from sprays. I have tried cleaning with water then milk. The spots are still there. Can I use half vinegar and half water? or will that harm the leaves?
If you dilute the vinegar, wipe quickly and then rinse off then you'd probably be OK...vinegar can act as an herbicide but it's not that strong of an herbicide, so if you dilute it and then rinse as soon as you're done I don't think it would do much if any damage. I would try it on just a leaf or two and then wait a few days and see if anything happens, and if everything still looks fine then do the rest.
There are at least 20 leaves. These are tropical and I would have to wait 4-5 years to grow that much more! And I still wouldn't want to cut off that many leaves.
Have you tried just using your finger tip, kind of like an eraser? I guess if there are alot of spots, it would be like giving your plant a massage, lol.
