I to love corn and have never pickled it but am gonna try next year . I bet it will taste good with dill beans.
Its things I grew up eating I really miss now. I never got the recipe for some of the things but still am trying to find them.
Thank you for such a great article .
Oh yeah on the Kraut, I was raised on home made kraut and still miss it also.

Lavina, I think it's time you get cooking!

I felt the same way about shucky beans a few years ago until I finally just had to grow and dry them myself. And there's nothing better for us than homemade sauer kraut, too.

Comfort foods, maybe, we just need them sometimes.
