I just want to say that I loved your article. There were several vines you described that 'd never heard of, and I'm amazed that they're all hardy down to zone 5. The Vining Asparagus is enchanting, and the Clove Current vine looks and sounds like a welcome addition to any garden; especially for those of us with little or no space in which to grow fruit. And, what a wonderful story about your wedding bouquet ivy! 47 years and still growing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
You're welcome, lazepherine. And thank you for your very kind comments. :-) I tend to gravitate to lesser known plants and like to pass along the ones that have done well for me. As for the ivy, I'm already looking forward to its golden year and ours as well. Best--Larry☼
