Nice article Dinu!
Nature provides what we need to stay healthy...if we would but listen.

Ayurveda and related medical systems have become popular outside of India. Part of our mission now is to ensure sustainable production of the plants and materials so that there are enough available as the popularity grows. Several traditional plants, such as Kutki and Jatamamsi, are now endangered due to overharvesting. They appear on the CITES list as banned for international trade in the bulk form. Thankfully there are a few organizations who are seeing success in working with the traditional growers, establishing new plantings and protecting some of the remaining wild ones.

Thanks g_m. It is sometimes baffling we are untrained to listen to our own body's symptoms, leave alone with Nature around us! That's the extent with which we have abused our bodies. Yes, it is hoped something wonderful happens so that important plant species are not lost for posterity. Some traditional healers also have not passed on the secrets but I also hope this mindset will change in the modern world.
