My amaryllis help me through gray Nebraska winters. Just waiting to see the beautiful flowers is rewarding, although mine are the common ones compared to Sue's unusual! I've always brought in all the pots to store in the basement, but this year I think I'll try Sue's suggestion and wrap the bulbs in newspaper to save space. After dormancy I'll repot them in fresh new pots over a couple of weeks to lengthen the blooming period. Thanks Sue for a great idea!
