Some of you may already know this but I just wanted to remind everyone that now is the time to direct sow Wildflower Seeds that are native to your area. Many people wait to they see the beautiful blooms in the spring and then think about sowing the seeds but for the best results now through early winter is the best time. If everyone could just get a small handful and toss them in the dirt come spring you won't be disappointed.

Last year I sowed viscaria occulata and linum grandiflora at the last to october and I can see these flowers from may to august.
Oh, I'm sooo jealous. You are in Spain, that has to be the most beautiful country in the world. All the old buildings, castles and history are unbelievable. When I was there I brought back seeds from a street vender in Barcalona that was the best garden I ever had. Now that I do this for a living I try to order vegetable seeds from Italy or Spain they always do great here, our climate is very similar. More pictures please.. You can always dmail them to me.

Thanks for your words. Spain is an old country and I am happy here. We are a 10a climatic zone, and the landscape and weather is lilely to Ireland, so. My home is a little chalet near Santander (4,5 kms)
I donīt grow vegetables in my garden, but in my family house my mother and brother grow potatoes, beans, etc...

I'm not an expert by any means. What I do is mix the seeds 1 part to about 4 parts potting soil or compost. I rake the area no more then 1 inch deep so I don't disturb any dormant weed seeds. Throw out the seeds on the area, press the seeds in by walking on them. Make sure you don't cover them more 1/16" and keep them moist the first 4-6 weeks. But if nothing else just toss them out, its better then nothing.
