    my father-in-law used to have some of the old timey ones(not the hybrids) and he had them kind of in the shade so they hardly bloomed and if he broke off a leaf and worked it between his fingers till both sides were loose, you could blow on the broken end and they would blow up like a frog's belly. My kids always thought it was so neat!!
