I am trying to make sure i do what is best for some of my newly planted perinals. I planted hostas this past spring and they have done quite well. Is there anything i need to do to them for the winter? Here is a picture of one of the Hosta i planted so u can see how well established it got after one summer in the ground. Also will someone please tell me what kind of hosta this is?

Not sure what kind it is, there's so many. It's had all summer to grow and get established so I wouldn't worry about it over winter. It should be fine. They are tough plants. Say goodbye to the Coleus though, but you probably knew that already.

Mulch your hostas in for winter, and mark where they are as they will go completely dormant over winter and if marked, you won't accidentally plant on top of them or dig them up. They should be just fine over the winter.
