I have two dahlia's a Kelvin Floodlight and a pink cactus dahlia of unknown species. I live in NC in zone 7A. Do I have to dig them up after the first frost?

Also, what do ya'll use for an attractive staking method? I have to admit I neglected mine this year, and they flopped everywhere. I put a tomato cage around the dinnerplate dahlia late, and it just looks unattractive anyways.

I am going to move my dahlias after the first frost blackens the leaves as I didn't like where they were at this year.

Thanks,
Danielle
