I was born with a fear of spiders, but if I can have a little bit of love for either of them, it would be for the lovely writing spider. Loved the article when it first appeared, and love it now for sure.
Thank you, Mel.

Thanks Sharon.

I have a hefty dose of Spider Fear myself, but I've come to love these gals. One point in their favor is that they like to stay put in their webs, so I'm rarely surprised by one.

Unless, of course, we walk right into one, mouth open...

Sharran has already 'gulped' what I wanted to 'gulp'! My face was once covered with a web a la Spiderman Mask! But that was invisible - I felt my face being caught clean on one as I was watching the ground as I moved in through my garden - it was in my old 'Eden'.

Ah, Melody, you're a better woman than me. I know spiders are in important part of the ecology and all, but to me they are just plain creepy. Except lynx spiders. I've learned to like lynx spiders.

Lynx spiders are nice too...from a distance.

Can we talk about butterflies now, please?
Everytime this thread pops up, I feel creepy crawly things all over.
