Went to a huge greenhouse auction. Guy went bankrupt when fuel went from $8,000 a month to 42,000 a month during fuel crunch. I got two 30x120 SxSmith Storm King Greenhouses for 47 cents and 53 cents a square foot. Included was one boiler, two propane heaters, 2- 54inch exhaust fans , 6 circulation fans 60 wooden benches, drip lines for all thebenches, drip lines for hanging baskets and plumbing for everything. I also picked up two rolls of shade cloth for $25 each.
The complex was huge. there were 54 greenhouses all together. One was an acre and a half and sold for only $92,000 which included rolling benches worth more than that. The owner told us he had $42,000 just in concrete for it. The property was assessed at 3.5 million and sold for only $150,000. I felt sorry for the guy but not for the bank .I have been up all night trying to figure out what I am going to plant :)
