I live here in Catalina Az...beautiful area just north of Tucson. For the most part this is virgin soil nothing has been planted here for years. I moved here last year, about everything I have planted has had a tough time. Here just below the Catalina mountains..we get more rain than the areas around. The soil is a loamy type and pretty good texture. I have planted mostly tough plants like Iris...lantana. Lady Banks white roses. All are very sturdy plants. And everyone of them about died out this summer, with all the 3x a week watering. If you have any ideas I would appreciate it...and something not too costly... Thanks for any input!!!!!!!!!!! Dutch
