I plant them in plastic pots and then stand them pumpkin pots (Or any other suitable pot) These pumpkin pots have a hole midway so the water gets to a certain level and runs out. There are lots of plants that are suitable ...just look for bog plants. I have some with Canna, Water Iris, Reeds & Rushes. It is o.k., I saw in nursery the other day they are making tablets that you can put into pots to kill inects also.
